The fear and anger that took over my body was almost overwhelming when I found out that Maniac was being remade-- even more so discovering that Elijah Wood was playing Frank!  Well my freakish fiends, I was deadly wrong...

Before I review this film, I would like to state that I in no way shape or form have any kind of sexual interest in the world of the shit fetish.  That being said...

Hello Fellow Gore Whores!

It’s been much longer than it should have been, but after more than a few years of slacking off and looking for time we didn’t have, we’re thrilled to announce the much overdue return of Cinema Eulogies!

A few things have happened recently that have made us reconsider getting back together, but the main thing that revived us was getting the opportunity to attend the screening of Maniac at Nitehawk Cinema in Brooklyn, NY. We had the pleasure of sitting through a Q&A with Frank Khalfoun, Elijah Wood and some of the other actors from the film as well as a meet and greet afterwards.

It was then we realized just how much we’ve been missing by being out of the underground scene as well as how much we craved to be a part of it once more. No matter how much life throws at us and tries to take us down, this industry has and always will run through our veins and keep us alive.

There are way too many things to cover, so we’ll only be skipping back through the last few months or so. We will likely be off to a slow start at first, so please be patient with us as we begin to build ourselves back up to what we used to be. That in mind, we will definitely be looking for some new reviewers to help us stitch back together what was torn apart.

Thanks to all of our old fans for the continued support and a big welcome to our new ones! We hope to disgust, anger, humor and appall you as much as we used to.

Rise up, or be buried!

Brutally yours,
Cinema Eulogies
